I am so behind on the times.

Cake pops were all the rage like, two seasons ago. I admit, sometimes I’m not really with the times but this one was on purpose. When cake pops came out, I was so over it. They were EVERYWHERE. I wasn’t about that because I just thought like, what’s the big deal with mushed cake and frosting?

Brownie Cookies

I hope you’re not tired of chocolate yet. I’m fully aware that Easter was this past weekend, and that some of you ate your weight in chocolate bunnies, eggs, chicks, etc. Hear me out, though.

Funfetti Rice Krispies Treats

Rice Krispies treats used to throw me off. When my sister was in college, her campus cafe sold a variety of krispie treats, including ones made with Lucky Charms. She’d bring me one from time to time, because Lucky Charms. The thing about them was that they tasted…. stale. Like, the cereal didn’t taste fresh and it was always a little harder than usual. From there, she moved onto Starbucks’ crispy squares, which were good, until they started individually wrapping them. My favorite thing about those ones was that they had mini marshmallows in the treat itself. I love extra the extra sugar, with that emphasis of what was really in the treat (actually, that’s still questionable but whatever).

Lemon Glazed Madeleines

I rarely repeat recipes. You won’t catch me baking the same thing twice unless there’s a reason behind it. It’s kind of like those people who don’t repeat outfits, which is weird now that I think about it. The only way I’ll repeat a recipe is if someone requests it and has an incentive, if it’s my bread for the week or the holidays, or if it’s a new and different take on the same thing. That’s it. Like, I may bake a batch of these for a friend because she’s doing my taxes. Or I may bake this cake again for a birthday. I mean, there are certain exceptions to the rule but really, this is how it is.

You’ll notice something’s different around here. I moved my blog! It has been a long process, but I’m finally here!
